The Cookbook

Refugees are Served Here is currently creating a cookbook that will include one section of recipes from local refugee families and their personal stories. The book will also include a section of recipes and stories from individuals across the U.S., representing foods, traditions, and values from their family histories. We will be selling the cookbook as part of our fundraising efforts. If you complete the Google Form for our project, your cultural family recipe will be included in our final book! When filling out the form, please include a family recipe that represents your family history and culture and a short story about the recipe to go along with it. Choose a recipe that is close to you and your family- it may represent a cultural tradition, have a special story attached to it, or is just personally meaningful to you! Please fill the form out by October 30th. Thank you!

We need YOUR help!

Submit a recipe by January 30th to help the organization and have it featured in our cookbook.

Look out for our collaboration with Emma Yaaka on the Wordout Youtube channel- the first episode is coming soon!! We will be filming recipes with different refugees to promote their expertise and spread awareness about different cultural foods!
